Taking over Latin dance floors across Brisbane (and Australia ), Zouk is all about the groove. Evolved from Lambada – only more stylized and elegant – Zouk is smooth, romantic and hypnotic, with long, fluent, wave-like movements of two bodies moving as one. Zouk music is mellow and beautiful with an irresistible dance beat and a strong bass line. SLG is a pioneer of Zouk dance in Australia and is renowned for its smooth graceful shapes and style. Learn Zouk with SLG and catch the cool!

How much does it cost?
Our 7-week progressive Focus courses are $135.00 (inc. GST) ($130.00 when booked online)

Bonus: SLG’s Latin Foundation students receive two lessons per week for the price of one!

Zouk means 'party' in Creole. On the islands of Martinique and Guadeloupe, where Zouk originated, ‘going to zouk’ or simply ‘to zouk’ has become part of everyday speech.

Music
Zouk music is mellow and beautiful with an irresistible dance beat, strong bass line and sexy French-African Creole lyrics. Although the dance comes out of Brazil, the music emerged from the Caribbean islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique. It’s bewitching – it makes your body insist on moving.
