Since we started at SLG we have danced our way through countless dance parties, we have also met so many new friends along the way and hopefully we will meet many more in years to come. I would say to whoever reads this, if you are a complete novice or even a regular dancer, come along and try the courses that Smooth Latin Groove offer, just like I did. You’ll learn some fantastic dance moves and meet a whole bunch of friendly people - including me!

Over the past few years, I’ve attended a number of Latin dancing lessons and establishments.  Without doubt, I have found Smooth Latin Groove to be the most professional, comprehensive and enjoyable of the lot.  The lessons are extremely well structured and presented in a thoroughly informative and personable manner by friendly staff. Within the lessons, I’ve found a perfect balance of clear instruction, a comfortable learning pace and entertaining social dynamic. The leap from the “Wow-check-that-move-out-stage”, as it’s demonstrated at the start of the lesson, to the “Wow-I-can’t-believe-I’m-doing-it-right-now” at the end of the session, is an easy and thoroughly enjoyable journey.

Ian and Desley provide easy to follow instructions that help you to understand the dance styles that they teach, providing an excellent Latin Foundation class for beginners. Not once have I felt left-behind or lacking the information I need to get moving. I find myself constantly looking forward to the next class. All I had to do was take one small step out of my comfort zone and now I find myself taking much bigger and more confident steps every lesson.
My partner and I have fallen in love with Latin dance (especially Zouk) and we have already signed up for the next course. We can't wait!
