Hip Hop Performance with Matty B



Hip Hop Performance Course by popular demand. Will suit dancers looking for a challenge - Suitable for dancers of all levels, however most suited to those with some dance movement experience.  

The choreography for this performance course will build towards a complete piece - You can then choose to be perform or not perform.

6-week course is $91.00 (online) .

Matty B is truly one of the purest Hip Hop practitioners in Australia. His dancing career started at the age of 7 with his brother, the duo known as the Balaba Brothers. Special mention must go out to Buddy Jamm who inspired Matty B to groove.

Matty B is well known for his abstract style which has been described as “simply EYE OPENING”. Matty B launches trademark moves that make people go... “Do that again!?” Matty B is continually pushing the boundaries of dance and by doing so he has created a style that is truly original and unseen before. Matt is known for his versatility and adaptability as well as his creativity and originality. He is constantly striving to create and conjure up something different and of course... WEIRD.

Matty B has over 17 years of performance, choreography and entertainment experience in hip hop including popping, locking, b-boying, krump, nu-jack, old school, new school, street, etc. His past achievements include:

Past Member of Trick Nasty Crew (one of Australia’s leading hip-hop crews)

-          1st Place Mercury ‘Best of the Best’ Comp 2007

-          1st Place 2006 Hip Hop National Championships

-          3rd Place ‘Burn the Floor’ Dance Comp at Mercury 2006

-          2nd Place 2006 Hip Hop National Championships

-          3rd Place 2007 Hip Hop State Championships

....you feel very comfortable, even though as a beginner I was quite apprehensive. I soon relaxed and have enjoyed their instruction ever since. The class is not too many and not too few, after just a couple of weeks, everyone in the class know each other and there hasn’t been one person drop out. You can see and feel the improvement in your dancing every lesson, its great. If you have 3 left feet like me, I highly recommend you try this, you will be surprised!
