This two hour session is for those who have previous dance experience, but have not been introduced to the essential structure of Salsa and Zouk needed in Core Elements One & beyond. Elements covered may lead to joining in Core Elements 1, 2 or Focus Classes in Zouk or Salsa. Date? The workshop for this Session is Zouk Partner Work
 Brazilian born Gianne Rosa has been dancing and performing for over two decades and yet she is only in her mid 20’s. Only last year she was awarded the title of “Cidadã de Samba de Florianópolis” due recognition as a premier Samba dancer of Brazil. She has worked with several Brazilian Dance companies as well as internationally through out the Pacific Rim and China. Her experience includes the genres of Modern, Jazz, Classical, Contemporary and has specialized in Afro and Brazilian Primitive Dances Gianne now calls Australia home. Forming Sambaki her dance company and studio to share her passion for the Brazilian dance and culture! She really loves what she does and will be holding workshops at Brisbane’s Smooth Latin Groove on Saturday 10th May. “I believe that with dance in our lives, we can make our world an even better place to live” Gianne

'Brisbane's Home of Modern Latin Dancing'
The session will combine elements of contempory dance, break down the structures of body shaping in Zouk, along with giving you greater awareness of Zouk shapes with balance and control. You will surface dancing smoother than ever before!

These workshops are not made to be challenging, they are fun and easily broken down with basic dance patterns.. Now held every Fortnight!!
 A new face at Smooth Latin Groove Cath Mish-Wills is a freelance Make-up Artist. She was introduced to dance as a teenager through Jazz Ballet. She then went on to study Belly Dance and performed professionally in New Zealand. Cath’s first taste of Smooth Latin Groove came after being invited to a Friday night workshop on a blind date on her birthday. Since that night she has been addicted to Latin Dance and can be now found behind the counter on Latin Event nights, or out on the dance floor. Right now she loves Salsa and enjoys many other Latin dance styles. When not dancing Cath is often found chasing the train at Sushi bars. Now that she can master a few cool moves on the dance floor, Cath wants to visit Brazil, the home of Samba and Zouk. With Cath at home with the SLG team, you will find her smiling face both in classes and greeting you when you come along for Tune-Up Sessions and Latin Dance Parties. * Tune Ups Each fortnight a new dance style is be focused on during the workshop. While workshops will vary from session to session each includes a social practice time in Salsa, Zouk and Gafieira Samba with a dash of Cha Cha Cha & Bachata
