 Salsa Performance Course Open Audition! Thursday 18th February 7:25pm BOOKING is ESSENTIAL! (Free) If you are looking for a serious dance challenge then this is for you! Smooth Latin Groove is excited to announce its new Salsa Performance Course – over 14 weeks, with a minimum of 14 x 1 hour sessions and additional sessions scheduled towards the end of the course. Air-Conditioned & Mirrored Studio with Spring Wooden floor and gym floor mats to allow for all sessions to be undertaken in maximum safety. Opportunity to perform at local National & International Events! Instructors: Corby and Allison Keele Ian Corbett and Helen Gramotnev Course class times to be advised. Salsa Rueda Beginners Saturday 6th February "Every Salsa Dancer should know a least a little Rueda" Salsa Rueda is a seriously fun spectacle and experience! When? 11:00am to 12:00pm How much does it cost? 5-week progressive course is $96.00 (inc. GST) ($91.00 when booked online) Prerequisite - Basic Salsa knowledge is required. The routine will be fun & vibrant with opportunity to perform at events in and around Brisbane! This choreography course is a fantastic opportunity! This course is suited to intermediate to advanced dancers. A pre-requisite is to have prior basic samba knowledge. During the course, the students will receive intense group and personal attention from their instructor Mishel to ensure that they focus on specific areas requiring improvement. Elements covered will include: Posture – Technique - Stage Craft – Expression – Balance – Dance Lines This is a great chance for you to improve your dance style and technique dramatically, whilst also learning essential performance skills, designed to make you stand out whether on the stage or on the dance floor. Mishel trained with the Queens of the Carnival parade in Rio de Janeiro and has her own professional samba group ‘Sambaliscious’ Each Session is 1 hour $155.00 (inc. Today is a stylish improvisational dance that appeals to all ages. Intermediate Gafieira Samba: 7:30pm to 8:30pm If you have covered basic Samba de Gafieira elements then get set for an exciting traveling combination which will intertwine you and your partner! Intermediate Salsa Combinations: 7:30pm to 8:30pm Learn new smooth turn partner combinations with each element and connection broken down. This session will add fun to your salsa vocabulary.
