Dance every weekend at SLG! Starting from the 5th April Smooth Latin Groove will hold a Saturday Night Dance Party every fortnight. This means, from now on, at SLG, you will be able to indulge yourself with a Latin Dance Event every weekend: fortnightly Tune-Up Dance sessions on Fridays, and fortnightly Saturday night Latin Dance Parties! To celebrate this, on April 5th there will be special dance performances by Carlos and Elli from Latin Steps, along with Hugo Fernadez from Alma de Tango. In addition to that, SLG is offering a special "Two for One" entry between 9:00pm and 10:00pm that Saturday night. And at out very next Saturday Night Dance Party on the 19th April special guests Krin and Yvonne from Latin Dance Sensation will be here to perform! Krin and Yvonne’s Latin style is sexy, fully of fire and energy, and their workshops and performances leave audiences wanting more. They will be teaching workshops and sharing their knowledge with us on Sunday 20th April following the SLG Dance Party. Tune Up Dance Session 28th March In the New Format... each Tune Up Dance Session includes a one hour Workshop in two levels, followed by over two hours of social practice time. Every fortnight a new dance style is be focused on during the workshop. While workshops will vary from session to session each includes a social practice time in Salsa, Zouk and Gafieira Samba with a dash of Cha Cha Cha & Bachata Workshops are now split into two levels - Beginners & Intermediate + Workshops are from 7:30pm to 8:30pm Only $10 for SLG students and $15 for guests Social Dancing from 8:30pm to 10.30pm Entry after 8:30pm is only $5 for SLG Students and $10 for guests Get along, get dancing learn something new have fun make friends and if you need assistance your teachers are there to help! Everyone is welcome! This event is held fortnightly Smooth Latin Groove Studios 1st Floor 474 Ipswich Road Annerley Salsa Rueda is a seriously fun spectacle and experience! A Rueda can be as small as two couples, or as large as a space can hold. The couples dance in a circle executing moves called out by a leader. You will learn many easy, playful calls, such as "adios", "enchufla", or "dame". The leaders, usually the men, initiate the execution of the moves. The followers, usually the ladies, perform the moves as guided by the leaders. Salsa Rueda is like a game during which the couples continuously change partners, moving along the circle and dancing with everyone in the group. Rueda is danced to lively, up-beat salsa music, with dancers constantly moving along the circle to their next partner: Warning it is addictive!  Difficulty level It is important that you have a solid salsa foundation. Completion of Core Elements One or equivilent is recommended. Date? These Courses will complement the existing dance programs of Smooth Latin Groove – also for students seeking a greater understanding of Latin Grooves.
