Jessica
Fillmore
Jessica was born in Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory and grew up in Darwin, NT. She moved to Brisbane in January 2009 for a change of scene. Now that she is here, she has a job which incorporates something she is crazy about (dance!), as well as studying in another area she loves - Graphic Design. Needless to say, she could not be happier about how things are working out for her here.
Jessica’s first memories of dancing are performing Ballet routines in her mother's restaurant in Tennant Creek. She started Latin dancing when she was 19 and a close male friend of hers asked her to do up some food for a Salsa party he was hosting. When she found out he did Salsa she insisted in being shown how it was done. She have been going to classes ever since.
Jessica has always had a passion for music. Among many others, she is a huge fan of Santana, Eric Clapton and Michael Buble. She enjoy a good beer or scotch, and when she is not studying, dancing or working, she likes to be out trying new things and meeting new people. She loves pushing the boundaries and one of her favourite quotes is, “A ship in port is safe, but that's not what ships are built for.”
