About Desley
Having grown up in a house filled with musical instruments, music became the focus of Desley’s life. She began dancing at an early age and was involved in various performances during her teens. Desley discovered Latin dance after a severe knee injury, and she’s never looked back. For the past 5 years Desley has devoted herself to Latin dance, including Salsa (Cuban, On1, On2, and Rueda), Lambada, Zouk, Bolero, Tango and Gafieira Samba. After performing in the Rio Carnival in 2004, she returned to Brazil to further study Latin dance in 2006.

Desley looooves Cadbury chocolate and all sorts of music, and enjoys walking and travel.

I have just completed the Latin Foundation course & have been so impressed with Ian & the team at Smooth Latin Groove. Our group in which I have meet some great people have progressed to a level where we can confidently dance at the social nights which are an awesome way to put our new found skill into practice!
If you are looking for a very well organized Latin dance experience with a group of instructors that are dedicated to your progression then I highly recommend Smooth Latin Groove. I’m looking forward to the next course already

....you feel very comfortable, even though as a beginner I was quite apprehensive. I soon relaxed and have enjoyed their instruction ever since. The class is not too many and not too few, after just a couple of weeks, everyone in the class know each other and there hasn’t been one person drop out. You can see and feel the improvement in your dancing every lesson, its great. If you have 3 left feet like me, I highly recommend you try this, you will be surprised!
